Jolene Russell has dabbled with writing romance fiction for years but it wasn’t until her family moved from New Zealand to the west coast of Australia that she found the time to write regularly. The beautiful weather and quiet nature of her beachside town help keep her motivated.

History has always held a special place in Jolene’s heart, and prior to moving across the Tasman, her love of the past gained her a history degree and career as an archivist. She enjoyed having a hand in preserving important historical documents. Having access to gory coroner reports, actual murder weapons and court cases helped satisfy her true crime addiction too!

Now the kids are grown, there is more time to write whatever strikes her fancy, although the old pug following her around is still a distraction.
